Holding the Line: Strategic Planning for a Watershed in Danger
Spring Project Grant Award: $1000
Project Summary:

Economic downturn, increases in mining, and organizational change all pose difficulties in continuing watershed preservation. The Yellow Dog Watershed Preserve aims to strengthen their work by creating a strategic plan. This will assist in maintaining direction regardless of the inevitable future challenges. They will complete the project by attending the Institute for Conservation Leadership's Executive Director training to gain insight, experience and to develop an effective organizational survey. They'll then use the survey to collect information from their members and constituents. After thorough review and consultation with their board, they will complete a strategic plan to outline where they are going, how to get there, and evaluate their efforts and progress for the next 3-5 years.
